Tim Leary
Tim brings thirty years of experience in the voluntary, private, and public sectors to NetGain Partners. He was an account executive with The Houston Group Communications in Toronto where he managed corporate public relations and clients' sponsor relations with charitable organizations. In the public sector, he was responsible for the Ontario Arts Council's grant programs in aid of major organizations such as the Stratford Festival, and for the distribution of tens of millions of dollars in public funds.
In the voluntary sector, he was Executive Director of an established charitable organization and supervised annual campaigns to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars during the 1970s and early 1980s. As a partner with MacKenzie Group International, Tim was responsible for research projects that have helped shape corporate community relations in Canada during the 1990s.
In the recent past Tim has moved to Halifax and completed several assignments in the Maritime Provinces . He was lead consultant on a comprehensive project involving strategic, business & marketing, and succession planning for Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre. He provided guidance in board development and governance for Eastern Front Theatre, and following that successful project, completed a touring feasibility study for that Halifax-based company. Nations in a Circle (a native Canadian arts festival) has engaged Tim for strategic and business planning. Following completion of feasibility, need and demand, and strategic planning work with Performing Arts Lodges Halifax (the Nova Scotia chapter of the national PAL organization), Tim continues to consult with this non-profit housing organization. Further afield, Tim recently provided governance counsel to Theatre Lac Brome in Quebec .
