Julia Dow
Julia Dow joined NetGain Partners as a Research Associate in July 2006. She divides her time between project work and office management, including oversight of NetGain's website and blog. Recent assignments have included a full-time role as Festival Coordinator of the International Bach Festival (2006) and financial modeling for studies on Casa Loma, the Toronto Centre for the Arts and the Canadian Music Centre; a competitive analysis for a community college; and project administration and editorial assistance on a Human Resources tool-kit. As of November 2007 she has acted as part-time General Manager for Kaha:wi Dance Theatre, a small but critically acclaimed aboriginal contemporary dance company.
Prior to joining NetGain, Julia interned with the International Music Council at UNESCO in Paris and the Ford Foundation at the World Culture Forum in Sao Paulo.
Julia has travelled widely in Europe and South America, which has allowed her to improve her fluency in French, Portuguese, and Spanish. She holds a B. A. in English Literature from McGill University in Montreal and is currently completing her certification to teach yoga under Felicia and Ante Pavlovic through Yoga Therapy Toronto. After a distinctly unathletic youth, in the summer of 2008 she learned how to play rugby and now enjoys it immensely.
